Education in Martinique

Education in Martinique is in French with a smiliar system to France. Education is compulsory for 10 years (from the ages of 6 to 16) with the first 6 years in primary school. Students interested in university continue from the middle years for 2 years and are awarded a Baccalauréat diploma.
