Education in Czech Republic

Education in the Czech Republic is free and compulsory from ages 6 to 15. The current literacy rate in the country is above 99%. The Czech school system has four degrees:

The school year starts on the first weekday of September, and ends on the last weekday of June. The school year is generally divided into two semesters ending in exams. The classification system used in the Czech school system consists of a scale from 1 (best) to 5 (worst) that is used to evaluate the students' work.

International Schools
