Education in Jordan

Jordan provides many fine educational institutions and ranks number one in the Arab World in education. After a period of impoverishment, there have been recent emphasis on education in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The Jordanian Ministry of Education places high value on computer literacy and scientific and mathematical courses.

The American Community School is an international, independent, coeducational day school which offers an American educational program and English language instruction from preschool (3 years old) through grade 12. Arabic is offered to elementary students in grades kindergarten through grade 5 as part of the regular school curriculum with Spanish, and French taught as foreign languages. There is no religious instruction. Advanced Placement courses are offered in some subjects.
