Education in Montenegro

There is an eight-year school system where education is free and compulsory for children between the ages of 6 and 15. Vocational (Zanatska škola) and technical schools (gymnasium or Gimnazija) may take students on to university. Instruction is mostly in Serbian, with some schools offering the Albanian language.
