Education in Reunion

Education on the Indian Ocean Island of Reunion is based on the French model as it is an overseas department of France. However, it depends on the Academy of Reunion, which includes 959 schools: 405 nursery schools, 383 primary schools, 90 middle schools and 81 high schools.
